The SAG AK KALASHNIKOV Freefloat Chassis is the only solution on the market which completely freefloats the barrel of AK rifles and brings DOWN weight of upgraded rifle compared to the original rifle: AK74 weight with SAG AK KALASHNIKOV Freefloat Chassis installed can be shaved to 3 kg \ 6lbs 10 oz (depends on furniture)
Brings up accuracy of the system, eliminates POI shift while shooting from bipod or from the port.
As the foreend doesn’t touch the barrel, the foreend remains cool even through 120 shot strings.

Fits any AK47\SAIGA\AK74 type of riles and any AK rifles with AKM style front trunnion.

The SAG AK KALASHNIKOV Freefloat Chassis consist of:

  1. Precision CNC machined from a solid billet of high strength aircraft grade aluminum Mounting block featuring 11 slot 1913-MIL-STD rail with built-in ACOG interface. The block mounts directly to the receiver via provided insert and front trunnion via provided barrel pin. Stays in place during assembly\disassembly of the rifle for maintenance and cleaning. This element serves as a mounting block for foreend and gas tube. Freefloats the barrel.
  2. Lightweight gas tube precision CNC machined from steel. Mounts on the gasblock and into the Mounting block.
  3. Freefloat lightweight foreend. Comes in 3 different lengths:
    a. 6-Keymod slots – same as base AK foreend
    b. 14-Keymod slots – covers all AK105\SAIGA MK03 barrel up to the gasblock, leaving gasblock open.
    c. 14-Keymod slots – covers all AK74\AK47 barrel up to the front sight post.
    Mounts to the Mounting block with screws. The way one usually mount foreend to the barrel nut of the AR
  4. Chassis features Keymod interface for installation of various accessories. M-LOK version is available upon request.

The SAG AK KALASHNIKOV Freefloat Chassis requires a gunsmith installation, but it can also be installed by user.
