MK1 handguard is CNC-milled from a high-strength aluminum alloy, with all core parts and fasteners made of steel.
Once mounted, the MK1 handguard free floats the barrel and allows accessories to be mounted on the 1913-MIL-STD type monolithic rail on top of the barrel extending from the gas tube to the end of the rear sight post.
MK1 handguard requires no removal for cleaning the rifle, allows the buttstock to be fully folded for transportation of the rifle and does not block the iron sights. The MK1 handguard should be installed in accordace with installation manual.
